The second of my occasional Andy N reads series is by Bolton Writer Jean Sheridan.

In this short selection come from how she was raised for 18 years in the system of care homes institutions and Bleak house Orphanage, and a life of crime at the hands of her real mother, and is writing her life story and her poetry my writing poetry is her therapy.

From my personal angle, unlike the Hugo Williams poetry which I read faithfully, these three pieces were all tackled differently on purpose to take them into different areas without changing the meaning too much with Raiding the Larder giving it a slightly more comical than Jean wrote it as I believe, Return to Barn made even dramatic by the use of Ocean in a Bottle supplying a unreleased piano drone, and Untitled playing around with distorted vocal effects that I used back when I was in DIH. (My old noise band).
